One Shot at LovePrivacy Policy
One Shot at Love turns eight questions into a character sheet and shows you one match a night. We don't sell your data and there's no ad targeting.
Who we are
One Shot at Love is built and operated by Cool-S Technologies, the independent software studio of Cameron Severn. This policy explains what data One Shot at Love collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email cameron@cool-s.com.
What we collect
- Account details (email, display name). To create and secure your account.
- Your interview answers and the character sheet built from them (stats, alignment, ideal, bond, flaw). Your written answers are sent to an AI model that distills them into a character sheet, which becomes your profile and drives matching.
- Matches, approaches, and the messages you exchange after a mutual match. To deliver one encounter a night, remember who you've already met, and carry the conversation once two people connect.
- Basic device and usage diagnostics. To fix bugs and improve the experience.
How we use your data
We use the data above to provide and improve One Shot at Love: to run its core features, keep your account secure, fix bugs, and understand how the app is used. We do not sell your personal data, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
No algorithmic profiling for ads
Your answers are used to match you with other people — not to build an advertising profile. We don't run third-party ad networks or sell your responses. There are no photos: your character sheet is your profile.
Services we rely on
To run One Shot at Love we use a small number of trusted third-party services. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- AI / LLM provider. Your interview answers (and the messages you send after a match) are sent to a third-party model, via an AI gateway, to generate your character sheet and to screen content for safety.
- Cloud hosting & database. To store your account, character sheet, matches, and messages.
- Sign-in & email delivery. To verify your account and send sign-in and account-related messages.
- Analytics & crash reporting. To understand usage and fix issues.
Data retention
Your profile is kept while your account is active. Delete your account at any time to remove your character sheet, matches, and messages.
Your rights and choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing cameron@cool-s.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — we honor those requests regardless of location.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and limit access to it.
Children
One Shot at Love is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as One Shot at Loveevolves. When we do, we'll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
